Additional Cast Revealed for 'Hula Fulla Dance' Film


The official website for the Hula Fulla Dance original anime film revealed two supporting cast members on Thursday. The film is scheduled to be released early this summer.


Multitalented actor and singer/songwriter Dean Fujioka (Fullmetal Alchemist live-action film) and actor Yuuki Yamada (Natsuzora live-action drama) will voice Ryouta Suzukake and Kazuto Taira, respectively. They join Haruka Fukuhara (Koi wa Ameagari no You ni), who was previously cast as the film's protagonist, Hiwa Natsunagi.

Hula Fulla Dance was announced last November as the second of three anime projects for "Zutto Ouen. Project 2011+10" (TV anime Bakuten!! will be the first to premiere, and anime film Misaki no Mayoiga the third). The project is a continuation of Fuji TV's "Zutto Ouen. Project" from 2012, and seeks to promote tourism in prefectures affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and ensuing tsunami—including Fukushima Prefecture, in which Hula Fulla Dance takes place.

Seiji Mizushima (Fullmetal Alchemist and Natsu-iro Kiseki director) is serving as the chief director and Shinya Watada (Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise) as the director at Bandai Namco PicturesReiko Yoshida (Aria the OriginationViolet Evergarden) is the screenwriter and Hiroko Yaguchi (Aikatsu!Beatless) is designing the characters.
